The Cultural Centre (part of the new complex) was inaugurated in conjunction with the Sports Centre, November 2010.
It has rapidly become a focus for the local community and many events (Capoeira lessons, music, dance and theatre) take place there on a regular basis. It is hoped that youth groups in the city will soon be staging their own small productions there and the Centre will be used for any relevant activities; musical events, drama, etc
