Updates

Update August 10th

In June, Cecilia and Bill, visited the creche in Brazil and discussed plans for forthcoming construction of the Julia Centre which is due to start in November ready for the opening of the school season at the end of January.

The ongoing work supported by the memorial fund for two to six year olds is continuing, and the children are thriving with the care being given to them.

Update March 6th - Opening of the Julia Thomson Centre On 27th February Cecilia (Julia’s mum) officially opened the Julia Centre in Canavieiras. She was blindfolded before being led out by the children to see the new sign. Many of the children were wearing the new Julia logo on their T shirt uniforms. The opening marks the very start of the project.

We have raised enough money to do the physical building work but we have a long way to go to raise sufficient to support the staff and running costs going forward.

More than ever your donations are needed.
